Stephen Lovell grew up in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He attended Oakland University where he graduated with honors, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in History. Stephen then attended Wayne State University Law School. As a law student, Stephen was an intern for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in the Special Operations Unit and for corporate counsel at DTE Energy. Stephen also worked as assistant to the in-house counsel for Wild Bill’s Tobacco and as a Student Attorney in the Business Law Clinic where he helped small businesses in Detroit.
After law school, Stephen began working as a law clerk at Marko Law, gaining exposure to a broad range of clients and legal issues and was the point of contact for several of the firm’s clients.
Stephen is now an associate attorney at Marko Law, handling a bevy of personal injury, employment, and civil rights cases. He has built his success within the firm on the personal relationships he develops with clients and his tenacity for helping those in need. Stephen is a strong believer in the renaissance and revitalization happening in Detroit and hopes to contribute the continued growth by battling discrimination and unequal treatment by officers and employers alike.
